1. Player discovers “Fly Free” anarchy posters posted throughout area. Hidden in the poster design is a link to a website
2. Player visits web site and finds that the page is a picture of a phoenix. A text box opens up and the player is asked a question. The only answer is “Fly Free”
3. The player can travel forward in 3 directions:
-Direction A. The player reads a document hacked from the government at the time of the riots. The document leaks a location of origin, location Y.
-Direction B. The player Reads Alyx’s blogs and notices that she mentions a familiar landmark multiple times. The player travels to this location Z.
-Direction C. The player finds the hidden USB (original location of the poster taken). In the USB holds extra documents before the event that blogs files of Alyx, location Z.
4. The player can travel forward in 2 directions, based on their original movement:
-Direction A. At the location Y actors playing government officials attempt to arrest the player for unknown reasons. An insider prevents the arrest and quickly hands the player piece of paper with a twitter account.
-Direction B and C. Insiders hand the player the piece of paper with a twitter account
5. This twitter account will first link a phrase “Are you a slave to the ordinary?” Members that reply, “fly free” will be linked to a secret underground forum and password where they can together decipher Alyx’s story and messages.
6. The twitter account will then post “The phoenix has flown free”. From here players can work together to decipher this message on the forums
7. An actor will wear a t-shirt with a phoenix printed and “fly free” on the back. The actor will not talk, but once spotted will lead players to a secret location.
8. At the secret location players will receive an underground newsletter, recording news from the perspective of the rebels. The newsletter’s title will clue players to discover the encrypted message, which will entice them to add a mystery character on Facebook.
9. The mystery character added on Facebook is an ex-government official. The characters role will lead players to exhaust various government documents to expose the truth and why no one remembers. Drug X
10. The mystery character will encourage players to “fly free”. To commence in the game, players will have to send pictures of 2 new people holding anti government/drug X propaganda to the mystery characters Facebook page.
11. The mystery characters posts from now on will appear as if his page has been hacked. Players return to the twitter account and secret forum. The twitter account will release a tweet stating “The phoenix shall soar!” and post photos of various flying birds with clues in the background.
12. These clues will lead to a website with an ominous countdown and a puzzle. Players must work together to solve the puzzle before the countdown ends.
13. If players pass the puzzle they will gain access to the full story told by Alyx on video recording. If they fail players will view a government-warning message and all will be erased. Both sequences end the game.
